Chọn chem chép còn tươi, không bị giập nát, rửa sạch, để ráo nước. Chọn củ tỏi còn mới, tỏi cũ sẽ mọc mầm không nên dùng.
Tỏi đem đập giập, cho 2 muỗng canh dầu ăn vào nồi và phi thơm, tỏi khử mùi tanh, giúp món ăn có thêm hương vị.
Sau khi tỏi chuyển sang màu vàng và thơm, hãy nhanh chóng cho chem chép vào nồi, kế đến cho đường và đậy nắp trong khoảng 2-3 phút tùy vào lượng chem chép. Chúng rất nhanh chín, khi chín 2 phần vỏ sẽ mở ra. Món ăn này không dùng nhiều gia vị trong chế biến để giữ hương vị tự nhiên của chem chép.
Tada! Chỉ vỏn vẹn vài phút đã có ngay một đĩa chem chép. Tự thân chem chép đã có vị mặn nhẹ và có kèm một chút đường trong lúc om và khi ăn kèm với chén nước chấm hải sản hoặc nước chấm từ hỗn hợp nước tắc, đường, muối ớt, tiêu xay nhuyễn sẽ rất đậm đà hương vị. Có thể ăn với cơm hoặc dùng làm đồ nhắm với bia trong mùa World Cup này nhé!
