Thịt kho mắm tép sả với thịt heo béo thơm, ngấm đều gia vị và mắm tép đậm đà, thêm sả cay thơm phức. Món ăn cay béo, hấp dẫn này rất thích hợp cho bữa cơm gia đình.
Thịt ba chỉ rửa sạch, thái lát vừa ăn. Ướp thịt với 1/2 muỗng cà phê hạt nêm, 1 muỗng canh mắm ngon cùng 1/4 muỗng cà phê tiêu. Sả rửa sạch, thái nhỏ. Nếu thích ăn cay bạn có thể cho thêm ớt hiểm rồi đem sả, ớt xay nhuyễn. Đun nóng 2 muỗng canh dầu ăn, cho hành tím đã thái nhỏ vào phi vàng rồi tiếp tục đổ sả vào đảo chín.
Đặt nồi lên bếp, thêm 2 muỗng canh đường khuấy liên tục đến khi đường chuyển màu cánh gián. Nhanh tay đổ tiếp thịt ba chỉ vào, dùng đũa đảo đều, xào thịt với lửa lớn cho thịt săn lại.
Tiếp tục đổ nước mắm tép vào nồi thịt, đun sôi nhỏ lửa tới khi thịt mềm. Cuối cùng cho phần sả vừa xào vào đảo đều cho áo đều lên thịt thì tắt bếp.
